Who We Are

Gigi Austin - a professional educator, has been teaching kayaking for eight years, and is an American Canoe Association certified instructor. She has kayaked on Lake Superior, the Gulf of Mexico, San Juan Islands, and various bodies of water between Texas and Virginia.

Richard Fine, PhD. - is ACA certified and has been teaching kayaking for nine years. He is also a registered massage therapist, certified fitness trainer and an outdoor education specialist.

Course Description

Fundamentals of Kayaing - in this course students will learn the proper terminology and use of equipment, water safety, paddling strokes, wet exits and rescues for flatwater kayaking.
Place: Big Thicket area of White Rock Lake
Time: 9am - 3pm
Cost: $95

What to Wear: clothes and shoes that can get wet, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat
What to Bring: lots of water, a bag lunch, towel, a change of clothes, the remainder of your balance
Referral Discount: Enroll with a friend and you each pay $85. Three or more friends enroll together and you each pay $75.
